Went for a day out with the Halfway Up mountain biking boys and girls today. My bike stayed upside down on the floor!! But I did have a nice walk and a sit around the fire :-)

When I got home today I had a row of Mr M for leaving the sweet bag out with tablets in. Kids might come in and think there were sweets in there!
Had next doors kids come in??? No! Mr M tried to sneak my sweets only to discover I'd eaten them all....serves him right I say!!

Today's activities involved 'Absorbing the sound'-playing handbells, boom whackers and ocarinas, all of which I LOVED. But also 'Absorbing the heat'-outside cooking, making pancakes on tins and in tin foil cases using flaming almonds, except mine didn't light :-(

Road trip!

Off for a weekend away on Brownie training, and looking forward to it! It's my first residential weekend and sounds like its definitely going to be an experience - what with all training on a Friday night and a rota for the 'household jobs'! I know I'll end up collecting firewood, or tipping tea over someone!!

Muffins...fail!!

Today I tried to make some delicious looking apple and raspberry muffins that I've been waiting a week to make.

They came out of the oven looking tasty...unfortunately they were still gooey in the middle and uncooked :-( FAIL!!

Today my uni girls came up for a catch-up. It's been 2months since the last one, and it's the first time they've visited *my* house. We've booked the next catch-up in already because we get so busy!! The time today flew by!!

Spring shoes

My sister bought new shoes the other day and I was a little jealous so I made her come to the children's section to find some for me! Yes that's right the children's section!!!
I found these beauties in a size 2! (They're still a little big to be honest, but size 1 were def too small!!)




Today I was brave enough to go without socks for the first time this year -well in THIS country anyway - now my tootsies are COOOOOLD!
